When most people here the word nutrition, the first thing that pops into their minds is the quantity of food they are likely to be fed. This is however a very misguided notion. Nutrition is all about the beneficial content derived from a food for the body’s benefit. There are several classes of food that make up a nutritional meal. They include;

 Carbohydrates
 Fiber
 Water

A meal can be considered to be balanced if it contains all the above food groups. They all help the body in one way or the other and together they work to boost wellness of the entire body.

It is important to note that nutrition is also concerned with the frequency with which people take meals. It is very important to have a schedule of time periods during which you have meals consistently.

It is important for you to have all meals and drink a lot of water. Drinking water helps to boost the metabolism. Fiber also helps to speed up the metabolism.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no food group that should be avoided. They are all meant to give the body energy to function well. If you avoid some food groups, you leave your system vulnerable.
