MARC WOOLFORD
Marc has been passionate about the transformational nature of yoga
since 1994. His unusual but deeply effective approach is founded
in the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli tied in with a clear understanding
of functional movement and the breath. He runs regular workshops,
weekend retreats and holidays in the UK and abroad.
" The yoga I teach is about learning to respond intelligently to
our current needs rather than developing any fixed 'method'. When
our actions become conscious, the insights we gain can transform
the way we move, breathe, and eventually the way we live our lives.."

SUZANNA
DAW B.Sc (Hons) M.C.S.P., M.H.P.C. Holistic Chartered Physiotherapist
and Yoga teacher Suzanna qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1994 and
has since gained a wide range of experiences to further her professional
development. In addition to training received in Therapeutic, Sports
and Thai massage, she is also a certified Reiki Master. Her interest
in yoga started over 10 years ago, and is now a way of life to which
she is devoted. Suzanna studied many different styles of Yoga both
in England and India. For the past 5 years her yoga practice has been
inspired by the unique wisdom of Vanda Scaravelli whose teachings
focus on awakening the spine through releasing with breath and gravity.
This intelligent way of working invites a deep sense of rest and lightness
to unfold in the body, mind and spirit. She has enjoyed a range of
employment experiences, within professional Physiotherapy settings,
as an independent holistic practitioner and Yoga teacher. She teaches
Anatomy and Physiology to Yoga practitioners, to enable them to understand
more deeply the body-mind connection. The aim is to integrate theoretical
and experiential knowledge within the spirit of yoga to deepen ones
practice. Inspired by her therapeutic background and consistent yoga
practice, she shares knowledge of how the body works in a holistic
way incorporating practical, visual and creative techniques to facilitate
fun and interesting learning. As one starts to understand the body
as a whole we see how our thoughts and emotions, actions and words
affect our whole being. As Yoga practitioners and especially for teachers
it is important for us to have an understanding and a foundation in
theoretical knowledge, especially how each different system works
and co-ordinates within. This may be then placed aside during our
own practises or can be explored with more depth. Discovering how
our bodies work enables us to be safe, effective and progressive yoga
practitioners and helps invite confidence when teaching others. Suzanna's
personal journey is to combine conventional western medical and eastern
healing philosophies. She iscommitted to sharing her knowledge and
empowering people to make positive choices and conscious changes to
their lives. provide holistic, sensitive and inspirational treatments
and sessions |

SHIRES The benefits that come from an ongoing practice of yoga are
gathered through an ever improving awareness of the body, which gives
us the potential to free ourselves from negative, habitual patterns
of movement and thought and simply makes us feel betterČ, David says.
As individuals, we all approach our yoga in a unique way, and David
encourages his students to find their own path through a range of
postures, focusing on movement from the core through an awareness
of the spine and breath in creative and supportive environment. David
completed his teacher training at Natural Bodies and has taught at
the centre for several years. He is also a shiatsu and bodywork practitioner
