Gary
Carter's
YOGA & ANATOMY Series for Teachers
The Yoga & Anatomy series This Eight weekend course explores the
anatomy of movement in relation to asana practice, movement analysis,
3-D work, and experiential anatomy. It will encourage teachers to
'see' their students more clearly, thus helping with rehabilitative
issues. The course aims to help teachers take a flexible, intelligent
approach to yoga with individual students.
Gary
Carter shows how a thorough knowledge of anatomy can help teachers
to make intelligent choices about the way they teach their students.
His workshops involve the use of props, illustrations and hands-on
work in classes to help demonstrate the principles that underlie
asana practice. This Eight-weekend course explores the anatomy of
movement in relation to asana practice, movement analysis, 3-D work,
and experiential anatomy. It will encourage teachers to 'see' their
students more clearly, thus helping with rehabilitative issues.
The course aims to help teachers take a flexible, intelligent approach
to yoga with individual students. This course of experiential anatomy
will be held at The Special Yoga Centre, 2a Wrentham Avenue, London,
NW10 3HA

structual
& movement integration
Structural
Integration combines the continuation of
Ida Rolf`s pioneering work, with developments by Tom Myers, and
functional movement understanding by Gary Carter. Structural Integration
is a series of 12 sessions incorporating hands-on bodywork and movement
which help rebalance the body after strain, injuries, movement difficulties
and somatic patterns may have developed. We look to enhance and
educate through ease of alignment and freedom of movement.
