Deepening the Practice:
A Week of Yoga Anatomy,
Breath & Asana with Gary Carter

3pm Thursday 24th July - 2pm Wednesday 30th July 2008

Join Gary in the magical setting of Lendrick Lodge, Scotland for a week on in-depth teachings and warm friendship

Throughout this week, we will be exploring the practice through the integration of breath. Each person will evolve their personal practice through deep internal and external forces. Mastery of the breath, sculpting the internal environment and minute refinements create paradigm shifts both on and off the mat. Garyıs unique way of holding space for the group supports a new level of lightness and freedom within yoga. This creates a natural ³green light² for the body to experience new levels of awareness and success.

We will be exploring Anatomy, Structure, Form and Function
Your yoga week holiday in the mountains of Scotland will be made complete with the addition of an evening of live folk music. Course £350. Accommodation and meals £250. (£225 non-refundable deposit required to secure your place)

Gary Carter's
YOGA & ANATOMY
Series for Teachers

An 8 -weekend course SEPTEMBER 2008 to MAY 2009 (with a ninth optional extra weekend. Anatomy of Connection) Structural, Functional, and Experiential Anatomy for Yoga

Gary Carter shows how a thorough knowledge of anatomy can help teachers to make intelligent choices about the way they teach their students. His workshops involve the use of props, illustrations and hands-on work in classes to help demonstrate the principles that underlie asana practice. This Eight-weekend course explores the anatomy of movement in relation to asana practice, movement analysis, 3-D work, and experiential anatomy. It will encourage teachers to 'see' their students more clearly, thus helping with rehabilitative issues. The course aims to help teachers take a flexible, intelligent approach to yoga with individual students. This course of experiential anatomy will be held at The Special Yoga Centre, 2a Wrentham Avenue, London, NW10 3HA.
